JEEVA YATHIRAI
The saint Manickavasagar, in his divinely ordained Thiruvasagam, describes the several life-forms that the jeevan (individual soul) traverses in its inexorable journey towards the Supreme Being. He says he has adorned the forms of a blade of grass, a insect, a tree, a bird, a beast, a reptile, animal-man, man, saint and celestial being in his quest for the divine. This jeeva yathiral (A Souls Journey) is the central theme of this work by Swamiji. The chapters in this book are based on the objective observations of Swam iji into the multitude of experiences that this transient world offers to people and the subtle reasons for the same. Although the scope of this book lends itself for some highly esoteric dialogue dealing with metaphysical realms, Swamiji refrains from doing so. Instead, He induces the readers to ponder on the entwining and yet fleeting relationships of this world. Jeeva Yathiral takes the reader beyond mundane superficial relationships dictated by karma and sets him free.
