In keeping with this constant refrain, Swamy Omkarananda has compiled an excellent book on the Life and Times of 25 saints who lived amongst us in the mortal world, performed penance and became Divine. The biographies include those of highly evolved souls such as Shirdi Sal Baba, Sant Jnaneshwar Maharaj, Neem Karoli Baba and several Siddhars and Yogis from South. In addition to the 25 saints, an insight into the Divine Life of Sadguru Om Maha Siddhar Swamigal is presented towards the end of the book. A singular feature common to all these saints was that they had and advocated unflinching faith in God. They followed the path shown by Him and they eventually became a part of him, says Swamiji in his book. He is emphatic that everyone can self-realization by following the footsteps of these revered Yogis. They believed in God and they become part of Him. Swamijis work is meant to engender a humble and reverential attitude towards the saints and seers of our great land, amongst the readers of this book.
